GetQuickSites Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy covers two kinds of personal information:

• information about you when you visit our website, enquire, or engage us as a client; and
• information we handle on behalf of our clients when we build and operate software and websites for them.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities. This may include:

• Contact and identity information — name, email address, phone number, business name, and postal address;
• Enquiry and project information — the content of your enquiries, project requirements, briefs, and correspondence;
• Billing information — details necessary to invoice and receive payment (we do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by third-party payment providers);
• Technical and usage information — when you visit our website, information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring pages, collected through cookies and analytics tools; and
• Account and access credentials — where you provide access to systems, platforms, or accounts so we can deliver our Services.

We collect this information directly from you where practicable — through our website forms, email, phone, or during a project. Where we collect it from a third party, we take reasonable steps to ensure you are made aware of the collection.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and provide quotes;
• deliver, manage, and support our Services;
• communicate with you about your project;
• issue invoices and process payments;
• maintain our business records and meet legal and tax obligations;

3. Information we handle on behalf of clients

3.1 When we build or operate software, websites, or platforms for a client, that client's systems may collect and store personal information about the client's own customers or users ("Client Data").

3.2 In relation to Client Data, our client is the entity responsible for that information and for its own privacy obligations. We act on our client's behalf and only access, use, or disclose Client Data as reasonably necessary to provide our Services or as instructed by the client.

3.3 We take reasonable steps to protect Client Data using appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and, where appropriate, encryption. Where a project involves sensitive information or information about children, we host data in Australian data centres (Sydney region) where this is within our control and reasonably practicable, and we design systems with appropriate security controls such as row-level access restrictions.

3.4 On completion or termination of an engagement, we hand over or, at the client's request, securely delete Client Data in our possession, subject to any legal retention obligations.

4. Disclosure of information

4.1 We do not sell your personal information.

4.2 We may disclose personal information to:

• service providers and sub-processors who help us operate our business and deliver our Services — for example, hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, email and communication tools, and analytics providers. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle personal information consistently with this policy;
• professional advisers such as our accountant or legal advisers, where necessary; and
• government, regulatory, or law-enforcement bodies, where required or authorised by law.

4.3 Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs, or we obtain your consent, or otherwise act as permitted under the Privacy Act.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how it is used, and improve it. Where we use analytics tools, they help us understand aggregate usage patterns rather than identify you personally.

8.1 You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. To make a request, email [email protected].

8.2 We will respond within a reasonable time. There is generally no charge for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable cost for providing access in some cases. If we decline a request, we will tell you why in writing and explain how you can complain.

8.3 If you ask us to access or correct information that forms part of Client Data (information held on behalf of one of our clients), we will refer you to the relevant client, who is responsible for that information.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us at [email protected] with details. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our website, and the effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
